Beer pong, blackjack, poker, and roulette will all be part of the Alaska Nanooks Women’s Hockey Club annual Casino Night fundraiser.
The Nanooks are ranked first in the Western Conference of American Collegiate Hockey Association Division II Women’s Hockey and will be playing in the ACHA Nationals in Ashburn, Virginia March 7-10. “We are an entirely self-funded program and we are working to raise money to pay for our trip to nationals,” the team stated on its Facebook page.
The fundraiser night will also include an end-of-night cash raffle, an auction, and prizes. It will take place at the Pioneer Park Civic Center on Saturday, March 2 from 7-11 p.m. One-bite appetizers will be provided.
Tickets are $30 for $30 in chips and casino players can rebuy into games for $20. Tickets are available at Sport King, Denali Industrial Supply, Twisted Stitches or from any of the players. Tickets can also be purchased at the door.
“We appreciate all the support from our Nanook fans!” stated the Nanooks.
The event is hosted by the Alaska Girls’ and Women’s Hockey Association.
