Alaska seeks fourth consecutive Governor’s Cup

The Alaska Nanooks hockey plays the Alaska Anchorage Seawolves tonight in game one of the 20th annual Alaska Airlines Governor’s Cup. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 tonight at the Carlson Center for this state rivalry game.

For those 21 and over the tailgate party begins at 5 p.m. at the Pub with the shuttle leaving for the Carlson Center at 6:40 p.m. For those under 21 a shuttle will leave at 6:15 p.m.

The game is also senior night honoring seven seniors playing their last regular season home game. The seniors are also looking to close their final year with a fourth straight Governor’s Cup.  “I’m looking forward to getting my name on that gov cup four years in a row” said senior defenseman Kaare Odegard. Senior captain Adam Henderson said “It would be a heck of a way to go out”
