ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) — Joe Miller, the unsuccessful 2010 Republican Senate candidate run, says he’s considering a run for the Senate next year.
Miller appeared at the Alaska Libertarian Party convention held this Saturday in Anchorage.
KTUU-TV reports that Miller says he’s not at the point where people are being hired for a campaign, but he says he’s considering running.
Miller won the primary election in 2010 after being backed by the Tea Party. However, fellow Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski prevailed in the general election with write-in votes.
The Alaska GOP has already made its intentions clear for next year’s election.
Alaska Republican Chair Debbie Brown says Republicans would like to replace Democratic Sen. Mark Begich with a conservative Republican senator.
