This year Alpha Pi Omega Spring formal with be held on campus, at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
Last Friday night in the Wood Center volunteers Chelsea Pardo and Anna Hahn sold tickets from a folding table.
Last year the annual event open to all UAF students was held in the Eagles Hall, and many students couldn’t make it due to its distance from student housing. “This is one of the first years it’s been on campus,” explained Pardo. “We wanted to bring it on campus to make it more available to students.”
Alpha Pi Omega is a nationwide service-based fraternity with 60 local members. “Our main principles are leadership, friendship, and service, we strive to provide service to the nation, community, and campus,” explained Pardo. The ticket price of $15 per person or $25 for a couple will all go to pay for the formal, “we plan to break even, but if we make more we will donate it somewhere.”
Tickets will remain on sale all nest week by contacting Chelsea Pardo by email, follow the link provided on the UAF Events Calendar
