This Saturday, March 30, UAF will be hosting the 8th annual Easter Egg-stravaganza. The event will consist of many activities for the community, free of charge.

There will be an egg scavenger hunt, field games if the weather permits, face painting, and a door prize raffle. The Easter Bunny will also be at the event. The activities will take place at Constitution Park and the Flag Park.

This event is planned and hosted by the UAF Circle K Club. Every year the activities at the event change and after this year the event will have a makeover to better incorporate club fundraisers, according to Kaz Alvarez, the president of the Circle K Club.

The Easter Egg-stravaganza has always been located on the UAF campus and will continue to be in the years to come. In 2011 the event was held at Hess Village on campus in order to mainly target campus families, according to Alvarez. Even though campus families are the main focus of this event, the community as a whole is welcomed.

“The Circle K Club is a service and leadership organization that was started by Kiwanis to help develop college students into efficient leaders and ready volunteers,” Alvarez said. For more upcoming events from the Circle K Club visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/CKI.UAF.
