Last weekend was the 4th annual White Mountains 100. This “ultra endurance” race is a 100-mile loop through the White Mountains Recreation Area, North of Fairbanks. The race allows 65 competitors to enter. Racers can use any human powered transportation, bikes, skis or their feet. This year’s champion was Tim Berntson of Anchorage, who finished the 100-mile race in 10.8 hours.
