The calm before the storm is over. Monday’s winter advisory blanketed Fairbanks with snow accompanied by a brisk wind. An epic battle is brewing at the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus. As students continue their normal routine, a select few are choosing their weapons, making alliances or planning their strategies. They are preparing for war.
In between classes,
Humans and Zombies will engage in the epic struggle for survival starting on Friday, April 11, o n campus. The game, which is sponsored by UAF Residence Life, is “a large scale game of tag using Nerf equipment in a zombie apocalypse setting.”
As of Wednesday afternoon, 160 people have signed up for the game.
To play, UAF students must sign a liability wavier in addition to signing up at hvzsource.com/uafhumansvszombies. Students are encouraged to sign up at the registration desk Wednesday from 9 to 10 p.m. at the Moore Bartlett Skarland Complex or the Residence Life main office. ResLife will host a “rules” meeting an hour before the official start of the game at
p.m. in Schaible Auditorium.
